DUBAI – The Emirates Maritime Arbitration Centre participated in the Middle East Offshore Support Journal (OSJ) Conference, which took place between 24 – 25 April, 2019 at the Westin Dubai Mina Seyahi Beach Resort and Marina.
Edward Newitt, Member of the Board of Trustees at EMAC participated in a panel discussion about ‘When things go wrong in OSV and rig charters – making the best of a bad situation’. The topic is one of relevance and sought to discuss common disputes arising from supply time agreements, practices that facilitate mitigating the prospect of disputes, a commercial perspective, finding equitable solutions to disputes through arbitration and mediation, as well as alternative disputes resolution (ADR) services available in the region.
