The 27th Annual Middle East Petroleum & Gas Conference (MPGC 2019) to be held in Dubai, UAE from April 7-9, 2019 is rapidly gathering steam with Gulf Oil Ministers, super major CEOs, oil company senior management, oil and gas industry expert speakers, as well as traders and refiners as participants converging in Dubai.
MPGC 2019 will address the new geopolitics of the global oil markets, even as the volatility in prices and oil demand have created opportunities for enhanced international collaboration and rationalisation. More than 400 delegates are expected at MPGC 2019 and 600 for MPGC Week 2019 events, being held from April 6-11, for which MPGC is the anchor event. All events during the week will be organised by Conference Connection with (ENOC Group) – a leading integrated oil and gas player – as hosts.
His Excellency Saif Humaid Al Falasi, Group CEO of ENOC and Co-Chairman of MPGC 2019, said: “The Middle East Petroleum & Gas Conference provides a stage for the brightest minds to tackle the toughest challenges in the industry. Over the past three decades the annual conference has offered solutions for energy players to expand their revenue streams and has also shaped the direction of the industry to affect necessary changes considering the current geo-politics of the region.”
Dr. Fereidun Fesharaki, Chairman of FGE, leading oil and gas advisors for the Middle East and Asia and Co-Chairman of MPGC 2019 said “We meet at a challenging time for the 27th Annual MPGC, with the oil and gas markets, faced with great uncertainties on US supply, the role of OPEC+, Iran/Venezuela sanctions and waivers, overshadowing simple demand and supply considerations. With a totally new structure in the crude, product, refining and LNG markets, we can expect engagement, debate and discussions at the highest level. MPGC 2019 in its time–honoured tradition will provide a valuable opportunity for in-depth insights from the visionaries and decision makers sharing strategies to successfully manage and overcome these challenges.”
MPGC 2019 will convene under the theme “Middle East Oil & Gas Markets: Geopolitics and Sustainability” addressing the continuing volatility and supply uncertainty faced by the global oil markets in the relationship between OPEC, US oil production and recent sanctions. Higher crude prices, changes in the structure of LNG markets, the dramatic rise in products trade, impact of the 2020 global sulphur cap, with the forecasts of a super cycle in refining, will provide an opportunity for diverse global players to engage on the most pressing commercial and industry concerns of the oil and gas markets, as well as the new trading partnership models of Middle East NOCs. The MPGC 2019 agenda will feature seven plenary sessions in roundtable format with an emphasis on interactive debate and engagement plus audience polling.
His Highness Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, Chairman of the Supreme Council for Energy and His Excellency Saif Humaid Al Falasi, ENOC Group CEO and Co-Chair for MPGC 2019, are both expected to attend the MPGC inauguration on April 8, 2019, in the presence of H.E.
